must also realize that worship is to be pursued as part of the Christian community, rather than merely as individuals. When we come to public worship, we come as the people of God, with the people of God, to meet with our God together. Worship Is for God Worship should not focus on what we “get out of it.” That is obviously self-centered. Our worship is not about pleasing or entertaining each other or our guests. Worship is also not really for unbelievers, for they are incapable of worshiping God.
